The rolling hills between Briargate and Black Forest had long been a place to ride 4-wheelers, go on picnics or just look down on our beautiful Colorado Springs. La Plata probably wouldn’t have liked me ditching school at Liberty and tearing up their fields, but that was 17 years ago. Now there are homes right where I used to go and unwind in the wonderful development Cordera. With its acres of open space and custom enchanted parks Cordera is amazing. La Plata has done a marvelous and insightful job of creating a wonderfully unique environment to enjoy and escape from the pressures of work.

Our clients have done very well in Cordera. There is so much diversity here and people come from so many different backgrounds. There is always something interesting and fun going on. “You just don’t find real culture like this in Colorado,” A local resident told me at one of the many musical events on The Front Lawn.

The schools in Cordera are also amazing. The World Famous district 20 schools have really blossomed with the additions of Pine Creek High School and Cordera’s own Chinook Trail Elementary School. Cordera’s little Tigers are focusing on Mandarin Chinese introduced to them in kindergarten. How cool is this school? Can you imagine going to a school like this when you were a child. Pretty Awesome. How important is education to you really? For most of my clients, not all, education is one of the most important things when looking for a home.

Cordera also appeals to the status driven minds with its rigid building restrictions and tight covenants. Cordera is not some wanna-be progressive neighborhood where everyone gets together and talks about changing the world. Cordera is changing the world as we know it and leaving all the hype and pseudo intellectual dribble beneath its feet.
